May + Russell focused on the qualities of ‘neighbourhood’ and ‘community’, leading to the creation of a village atmosphere
We have created a distinctive architectural design that fosters a sense of community. By incorporating a pedestrian-friendly street structure, we encourage ownership and easy navigation, while providing shared communal spaces that maintain privacy and safety.
The architecture is designed at a domestic scale, featuring small blocks arranged along pedestrian streets. This layout promotes a neighbourhood feel and encourages small-scale social interactions.
